Modes and Commads

Using Maya ended up being far more difficult than I recall; managing to make me feel overwhelmed by its array of tools while at the same time making me feel that there wasn’t a tool for exactly what I needed. After stumbling through the different selection modes (object, face, vertex, edge, etc)  and a lot of trial and error, I now feel quite more competent in 3D modeling in general, and more precisely, in the actions of using the “add divisions”, “connect” and “merge” commands in conjunction with the traditional transformation and extrude tools.
